Verify rotation required as the wrong rotation can rupture the shaft seal. Check for proper shaft alignment as axial or radial loads are not permitted. Chain and belt drive is not recommended.
The fluid must be specifically for hydraulic systems. A mineral oil based hydraulic fluid is recommended. For best service it should anti-wear and anti-foaming, anti-oxidant, and anti-corrosion properties. Fluids should comply with DIN 51525 and VDMA 24317. Allowable temperature range of the oil is -10C to +80C. Fluid kinematic viscosity ranges are the following: Permitted range 6-500cSt. Recommended range 10-100cSt. Maximum start up value<2000cSt.
System filtration of 25 micron absolute (B=75 to higher) or better is required. Finer filtration is recommended. Pump wear due to oil contamination will void warranty. New installations should require that system oil be filled through a 10-micron absolute filling system. Water contamination of the oil is not allowed.
